In September 1947, the Georgia Railroad received Postwar AAR Box Cars, 29000-29049, from Pullman-Standard (Lot 5869). The cars had ten panel steel sides, six foot YSD-2A doors (Improved Youngstown steel door with three sections [5/5/4 corrugation pattern, top-to-bottom]), 4/4 Improved Dreadnaught ends with eight full-width corrugations, Murphy panel roofs, Miner hand brakes and Apex Tri-Lok running boards.
